IONOS Webhosting Review: Don’t Fall For This Scam!
Welcome to my first review here on Tony Reviews Things – and SPOILER ALERT – it’s not a good review. Far from it, in fact. I made the mistake of signing up for IONOS web hosting (I’m not going to link them here) without doing any research. They were offering a 1-year hosting plan for $1 a month with a free domain name for the first year, which seemed like a great deal. However, it quickly turned into a nightmare.
No Login Information Received
After making payment for the service, I never received an email with my login information. I tried logging in using the details I had, but it was futile. I contacted their customer support, but they were unable to assist me. This was the first red flag.
Money Deducted, But No Service Rendered
To make matters worse, I discovered that the money was deducted from my Paypal account, but I still didn’t have access to the hosting service. I tried filing a claim with Paypal, but because the payment was still pending, I was unable to file a claim. This was the second red flag.
Unreliable Customer Support
I contacted IONOS customer support multiple times to get an update on my issue, but they were unresponsive and unhelpful. It’s like they don’t care about their customers at all. This was the third red flag.
A Quick Google Search Reveals the Truth
After doing a quick Google search, I realized that I’m far from the only person who has had this experience with IONOS. In fact, it appears that the company is fraudulent. They lure in customers with attractive deals, but then fail to deliver on their promises. This is unacceptable.
Switched to DreamHost
After wasting hours on the phone and trying to get IONOS to provide the service I had paid for, I decided to switch to a reputable hosting company. I switched to DreamHost, which has been a much better experience so far. It’s a shame that I wasted so much time and energy dealing with IONOS.
Conclusion
In conclusion, I would strongly advise against using IONOS web hosting. They are a fraudulent company that preys on unsuspecting customers. If you’re looking for a web hosting company, make sure to do your research and choose a reputable provider. Don’t make the same mistake I did. Stay away from IONOS.
IONOS Web Hosting
Summary
I was initially lured in by their offer of a 1-year hosting plan for $1 a month with a free domain name for the first year, but it quickly turned into a nightmare. I ended up giving IONOS web hosting a rating of 1.3 out of 5, with zero for service and customer support, and four for pricing (only because of the initial deal). I strongly advise against using IONOS web hosting, as they are a fraudulent company that preys on unsuspecting customers. Don’t make the same mistake I did – stay away from IONOS and choose a reputable provider like DreamHost instead.
